Concerning the debate on the gender difference in risk-taking and adopting new things: women comprise about 1.76 percent of the entire user base of Bitcoin [and then back to wondering why there are so few women in risky businesses like founding startups)

Finnish presidential candidate (Social Democrat) doesn't want the army to be mandatory for women because they give birth and are weaker. She's naturally a Feminist and campaigning for equality. According to polls almost no-one is going to vote for her, thank God.

The movie Gone Girl seems to be mainly about critiquing the way the society and media demonize men and favor women and how wives have the upper hand in marriages. But nobody seems to have noticed. Spoilers.

Just watched False Confessions: An innocent man faces, well, "female justice". First accused by a female coworker for molesting children, then investigated by a female detective who hides evidence, then prosecuted by a female prosecutor - and then helped to get free by a female lawyer.

I decided to watch Cassie Jaye's The Red Pill. If the IMDB's rating is 8.4, it should be found everywhere, right? So, I pay 3 euros a month for Amazon videos but can't watch it there because "Daring docs" (LOL) are only for Americans. It's not on HBO or Netflix either. Is it anywhere?

Even when using the same suicide methods men are more successful (because of fearlessness of death, pain tolerance, emotional stoicism and sensation seeking). So, it wasn't about the more violent nature of men, even when killing themselves, after all.

Stepped into to a local market with my wife. The cashier yelled: "stop him!" A beer robbery was going on, I learned later one. Being a manly man, I stepped before him. He showed a knife and asked if I'm sure. I stepped aside. The cashier: "You men are no good". Perhaps I'm not a man but I'm alive

The ugliest symbol of inequality in Finland is the conscription army for men. Now they are forcing the conscripted men to take part in HeForShe related education to "decrease violence against women". I'm angry and can just hope that this will turn even more men against elite's feminist ideology.

Ancedotal:

My wife has no clue about Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies. She just knows that we are going to Vegas later this year paid all with Bitcoin from mining.

For those who Are MGTOW or want to protect your assets, store some Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency and keep the the key/recovery password memorized - well worth the effort.

The female aversion to risk explains almost all of what we call "discrimination."

Men love to help women. But we can only do so much.

Our brains are literally different:

Men are more inclined to take risks than women. This finding has been replicated in a variety of studies over the years with researchers pointing to economic and evolutionary reasons. A recent study by Mara Mather and Nichole R. Lighthall found that gender differences are amplified even further under stress. Male risk-taking tends to increase under stress, while female risk taking tends to decrease under stress. One reason is there are gender differences in brain activity involved in computing risk and preparing for action.

I realize this is a men's rights sub, but I've long advocated ubi as a means to reduce risk for prospective female startup founders (and male, but studies suggest that this will help women more).

This would also counter the higher IQ spread of men leading to more ultra low IQ men.

That would work for small businesses, but startups tend to be leaps of hope, all-in kinds of games.

How willing you are to take risks or how much you enjoy the stress that comes along depends partly on hormone levels (perhaps even the brains structure) and there isn't much much you can do about it. Most men can't handle that either.

I agree to some extent, but I think that an UBI does mean that if your startup fails then you have a "fallback position" so you won't starve to death.

Up here in Finland we have social security for that. But now the government has started a basic income experiment. The idea is to lower the threshold to work even in low-paying jobs (or self-employ) and cut the bureaucracy and thus costs of the social security system (I'm pretty pessimistic that the experiment is actually able to prove it either way because it's so badly conducted but that's another story). Basic income itself seems to be a good idea that's very hard to sell.

Yup, I agree for the most part with you on UBI.

Doh. Now they're will be demands of special training courses and regulation of Bitcoin. Many men will rush in to validate the horrible sexism and jump on any body that points out the craziness of it.
