My wife has had problems for a long time. Her mom was murdered when she was young, her dad recently died from cancer, her step-mother might as well BE cancer (changed the will the day he died and has threatened both our lives).

I've spent a lot of time and effort, blood sweat and tears, getting her as far away from her problems as possible. But if there's liquor in the house, she doesn't just get her usual drunk-as-fuck self. She gets violent, she intimidates and threatens me, et cetera, and since it appears borne out of alcohol induced pychosis, it's totally irrational.

I don't know what to do. The violence groups are for women. Hell, she hit me with a cabinet door waking me from my sleep last night (I don't know how or why she ripped the door off of the cabinetry), explained that she didn't hit me with it, just "placed it on me,"... when I wanted to leave, she screamed that she'd turn my phone off, call the police on me (which would end with me in jail despite being the victim and NOT for the first time), and that if i took the dog (my dog btw, and i hadn't even brought it up) that she was going to "kill me."

So I get harassed and have violence practiced against me by a psychotic drunk woman regularly. And she intimidates me into staying with violent threats. And I don't know where to go or what to do. She really has a dark thread with all the dead/evil family, and we've been calling psychiatrists to find a new doctor since moving to Colorado, but it's hard finding anyone with openings who takes insurance... and since moving here the doctors don't like to prescribe the clonazepam she's been on for almost 3 years. So basically she's turning to alcohol, which is causing increased violence against me. I don't know whether to blame her or the medical industry, but I NEED TO DO SOMETHING TO FIX THIS.
