I took my daughter on her first school field trip a month ago. It was awesome and i don't think she'll ever forget it.

Meh, when my daughter was in elementary school, you have to give 24 hour notice if you wanted to see your child in school. You weren't allowed in the classroom. You couldn't just "pop" in.

It very much felt like they didn't want parents to know what went on in the classrooms...

It makes me almost cry to think about all the things my Dad gave up just to be there for me for little things. He never expected a thank you or anything, just that “glow” was all he needed. It’s amazing what you don’t realize you have until later on, when you hear stories and see just how much was sacrificed for your sake.

Man, this hits home. Actually brought a tear to my eye. I'm about to present my senior research for my bachelor's, and my dad has supported me through everything. He can't be there for the presentation since I'm at school out of state but I asked if he wanted me to have it filmed and he said it would be the highlight of his month to see it. Dads are great.
