Actually STD and HIV rates in US are higher the in Europe. Nowadays you can make an article like this, with research backing it, for almost anything. Last example that comes to mind is the J&J's asbestos containing baby powder, which was preferred and suggested by most physicians.

I love how most of the reasons they give that circumcision is good can either be fixed by safe sex, or cleaning under the foreskin.

I didn't get my son circumcised, my wife and I watched the circumcision movie on Netflix and we both agreed it is completely unnecessary and an extremely painful procedure. The more people that bring awareness to this barbaric practice the less people will get it done.

We never had our son circumcised. We were living overseas (outside of the US) at the time and every other man/boy wasn’t circumcised and loved happy and full lives. We wanted him to fit in as he grew older. So glad we opted out of this.

Defying science? The foreskin is there for a reason.

All these problems they’re listing can be avoided by literally washing your dick and having safe sex. Your teeth can rot out if you don’t brush them, are doctors removing people’s teeth as a prophylactic measure? My favorite was the part about prostate cancer risk being lower in circumcised males. That’s just a blatant lie.

It’s unethical to remove a baby’s foreskin when it can’t consent. When people say to do it when they’re babies because they won’t want to done as an older consenting person…. How the fuck is that okay? You’re making a permanent change to somebody’s body knowing full well that they wouldn’t want it if it was their choice. Absolutely disgusting and barbaric practice. And fuck the religions that partake in it in the name of their stupid deity.

Considering they cited the HIV study that was INcompleted in Africa because their methodology was so flawed no western nation would let them ATTEMPT the study, I'm gonna say the article's sources are suspect to say the least.

I can use poor methods too, watch this: "correlation, the western nation which has the most circumcision also has the highest gun crime rate. Thus circumcision makes men more violent." Hmm. Ooh! "Nations which practice female circumcision have far fewer women diagnosed with depression. Female circumcision makes women happier" is crazy what you can prove with flawed methodology.
