It's disturbing and infuriating how many people genuinely feel misandry isn't a real thing or that it doesn't cause nearly as much harm as misogyny. They're both equally real and harmful, but misandry is always treated as a joke. Men still have to register for the draft and can be sent to die in wars they don't agree with, boys face bias in schools which results in them overwhelmingly dropping out and unable to get good-paying jobs, abuse shelters turn away male victims, and society as a whole still fails to take into account the (much higher than believed) numbers of female on male violence, abuse, rape, trafficking, etc. and the lack of campaigns to also end violence against men and boys, compared to the tons that call to end violence against women and girls. and it's perfectly fine for men to be insulted and demonized for their gender and for people to even wish violence upon them. Remember the shirt that said "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them?" Just imagine the utter shitstorm that'd result from a shirt that said "girls" on it like that. Misandry is real and rampant in society, and denying it only makes it fester.

Not denying misogyny exists too, but it's always condemned and has action taken against it. Misandry is treated as a joke and it's anything but. It's as real and malignant as can be. Denying the existance of misandry or downplaying it is in and of itself misandry and arguably counts as anti-male discrimination since by claiming as such, you're basically saying men and boys can never be discriminated against or put up with prejudice. And that couldn't be farther from the truth. One has the right to their own opinions and beliefs, but not their own facts, and it's an indisputable fact misandry is real and dangerous.
