Oh this is absolutely happening, we have proof that many national statistics in the United States were altered to show a favor in one direction or the other. I've even used studies in this very sub that were later removed from public access because they were very obviously not aligned with the perceptive n of men current day. This bias for a multitude of subjects on top of the straight lack of true studies these days is why information is so rampantly inaccurate. Unfortunately men as a demographic are getting the short end of the stick for any study that puts us in a victim position or in other words showing the world men don't have it easy either and or any position of positivity and growth... but they don't want the overall public to catch on to their crap quite yet.

Current events are routinely disappeared from google, definitions of words regularly changed. Why would research be any different? Why wouldn't studies, being the strongest evidence of reality, be the primary target for erasure?

I've been an MRA for 25 years now and "inconvenient"data has been disappearing or "polished" consistently throughout the years.

From their perspective, I think they see it as a part of an effort to shift power from men since men have been so absolutely dominant and succesful. So to them it feels more or less justified. (I don't know who 'they' are, but it is happening)

To me, the way of doing it is underhanded and not how I thought of democracy, transparancy or open, public discourse. And these are the supposed fundamentals the west claims to adhere to.

I can understand their perspective now that I have learned that men and women are not equals, but it took me 25 years of very hard effort and insane level of sacrifice to try and pierce through this modern cultural programming.

If I may get a bit personal briefly; if someone just had explained this to me without the bullshit when I was a young man, I would have simply said: 'Fine, fair enough. I'll back down.' I mean, instead of attacking. Omg, how much that would have saved me. But I guess covertness is the new thing in this cultural shift. Sorry for rant.

As to on whose authority; thats a great question and I used to wonder myself. I don't know. It would be interesting to know. There are a lot of theories I've heard throughout the years:

1) It's government, as in US or UN or western nations as a reaction to the world wars

2) it's private very rich people funded

3) communist infiltration

Me personally I believe it's biologically hardwired male and female behavior. Now that we're wealthy and the world is safe, women want in. I think they are able to claim resources because our biology (which is gynocentric) is designed for this to happen. So in this context, this means women will behave in certain ways or have certain traits that will help them succeed in this. Some of which may be less attractive. And about the censorship your asking about specifically: there is a female stereotype of women being naggy, unable to admit wrong and always needing the last word. These traits would enable women slowly but surely erode away anything that is uncomfortable to them.

If it is biology, you shouldn't fight it, because you'll loose and only have wasted your energy. But I have sometimes used these archive services to save occasional websites, like archive.is.

Trusting articles has become difficult in today’s society, even if they come from a reputable source such as Harvard, Nature or whatever. It is important to research the publisher’s political agenda and general stance regarding their views on feminism, LGBT, or woke agenda (even more important is to see the authors bibliography and previous works or whether or not they’ve had previous altercations); there could be a conflict of interests even if it is denied on the paper itself. Needless to say, it is incredibly hard to judge, and coming to a conclusion is impossible without seeing more studies and watching for any correlation or divergence between the statements, conclusions, or methods employed. Also some papers only publish the treated data and/or skip or outright ignore the exposition of their methodologies which makes it hard to gauge the reasons to their conclusions (personally if there isn’t an exposition to their method I outright ignore them). Needless to say, properly judging a study requires time and energy and most people are unwilling to spend it and prefer to stay with a biased conclusion from a singular study, that may or may not have a conflict of interest, sometimes the methods employed are wrong which can give a false-positive or false-negative to a result.

To answer you question, normally an accepted study receives a code, major examples would be the DOI or ISSN, and you should be able to find an accepted paper with those. The ones without it are normally “grey literature” which are studies produced outside of traditional channels, such as monographs performed by a student as a prerequisite to graduate, making those disappear is rather easy, because they can hardly be traced, unless the entity has a solid database. Here is where we return to the conflict of interests since normally a publisher wouldn’t be publishing a study that goes against its agenda, but outright removing a paper that has been accepted and received a DOI or ISSN would be almost impossible to do, at least from my field of expertise, unless it’s demonstrated to be outdated or have poor fundamentals; other times such studies can be challenged and removed forcibly “ThatChemist” actually challenged such a study and won.
