I'm sorry you had such a terrible first relationship. After many millennia, society still doesn't facilitate better relationships, but leaves it completely up to trial and error. Negative outcomes too trigger avoidance behaviour to protect ourselves, but it doesn't help us get what we want. It's very unfair, but this is the world we live in and we have to deal with the reality.

Trial and error by it's nature means failing and then trying again, hopefully after learning what went wrong and how you can improve for next time.

Perhaps your expectations that the first attempt at relationship would result in happily ever after are unrealistic: there are so many compatibility things that must mesh on both sides, when both people are autonomous and capable of being different, with different expectations too, that the odds of any one random encounter being positive are quite low, particularly now with women being far more selective and with firm conviction of what they want and don't want, that there is less opportunity to grow together.

However, this is not the end of the world. Traditional relationships aren't the only possible life path for a man and expecting one person to meet all our needs is becoming unrealistic itself.

It's important to re-assess what our fundamental needs are and then look for easier (legal) ways to achieve them independently from a variety of sources than expecting them to coincide in one person. Putting all your eggs in one basket is also inherently risky of losing everything. Having said that, if you choose to "get back on that horse" and have another go, which some will advocate, it's important to evaluate what went wrong and what might result in better odds next time.

Even if you pursue a single life, it doesn't mean you need to be alone or lonely.

I wish you luck in your journey, because that is what life is, not a silver platter of a destination handed to you.

You had a bad experience. Fine.
You have decided not to date anymore… probably over-reacting.
Telling others not to date because it’s not worth it? Com’on.

There are a lot of institutional inequalities against men. Those need to be resolved.

There is a lot of normalized social condemnation of men. That needs to be resolved.

But, obviously, there are millions of great women out there that you can’t condemn just because you just had a bad experience with one of them.

To hold all women to account for the one asshole you were unfortunate enough to date? That’s exactly the sort of bigotry I oppose from the other side.

Bro, dating and sex is stupid. Trust me... a shitty ex-wife and 2 kids I can't even see anymore, all so she can feel good about herself. Whatever the fuck that means. It's not worth it man. Women are too privileged. They have the market on victimhood cornered for the foreseeable future.

The solution is simple. Leverage the Pride and Prejudice mentality. Invest in your own well being and amass a comfortable fortune. Invest in quality porn, make meaningful friendships, take on a couple hobbies. Once you are a single man in possession of a good fortune, all of society will bend over backwards to find you a wife, lest your resources go unsupervised.
