The article claiming men are experiencing a loneliness epidemic was incredibly flawed. It read far too much into dating app data and also made the erroneous assumption that single men must be lonely. As I’m sure everyone here is aware, more men are intentionally staying single precisely because they feel that will bring more happiness than marriage. People really need to stop giving any credit to that article’s conclusions.

That said, yeah, there’s all sorts of double standards that way. Women dating up is considered fine while a man who wants an equal is considered selfish. It really comes down to the idea that men are seen as providers and women are supposed to be provided for. One of the many examples of gender inequality.

Have you ever heard for any social preasure or law from feminist that would say: "we are privilaged in this area, thats why we give up our privilage or would put effort to make life more equal", beacue I never hear for any of this.

Femnist wont date men, beacuse they just hate them, they can go out with some wealthy men to extract his resources or tell to him how privileged he is even if she would expect to eat for free

I honestly don't think that's hypocritical, but I do consider hypocritical is that many women seem to think it's okay to vilinize men despite the "loneliness epidemic" (which I don't think this is anything relatively new considering men have often been expected to repress emotion and PDA toward anyone, friends, partners, family). It's not acceptable to push or influence anyone into a relationship or sexual encounter under any circumstances or for any reason but to expect people to be friendly and accepting? That should go for everyone. Having genuine close friends of any sex will help combat loneliness and feeling like people treat you like a hostile dirtbag because of other people's shit decisions (ie abusers, perpetrators of assault, etc) will obviously make men, or anyone, feel even more lonely and isolated.

Perhaps because personal relationships are usually not equated with resources / money.

I get not liking wealth redistribution(sort of anyway), but they're really not similar situations.
