It really does seem like the goal of many women is to be able to casually throw around double standards, and use “sexism” or “patriarchy” as justification or argument cover for when they get pushed back on.

The whole attitude of “I have a vagina therefore it gives me the right to be unreasonably nitpicky about things” or “I am a queen” while being appalled if a dude wants a woman who also treats them well or has standards, is incredibly frustrating.

It’s like they simultaneously want “equality” while also expecting to be held to lower standards. Can’t have it both ways.

When women say 50/50. Run. What they mean is you do 100% of your responsibilities and 50% of hers. And what feminists mean by sexism is responsibility and accountability.

There was that one episode of the 90's situation comedy Home Improvement where Brad (the oldest of the Taylor boys) began dating a girl who embraced traditionally feminine roles like cleaning up after him. Jill (the mother) took issue with this, even though the girl whose name I cannot remember said that she was okay with it.

I have never seen any sit com where a teenage boy decides to take a girl to dinner and pay the bill and the parents of the girl take issue with that.

Think about that, it is expected that young men pay for dinner whether they want to or not, but a woman doing traditionally feminine things like cleaning up after a man is considered sexist, even if the woman herself wants to do that.

I'm sure it's frustrating, but you just gotta live the life you want and find someone willing to meet you halfway. Much as I'd like to believe things would change, not enough people seem eager to change the status quo yet. It's all idealistically possible, but the flaw in feminism lies in the idea that everybody can find a partner that they deem attractive as much as their partner finds them attractive. It's as flawed as communism. That there is an infinite resource. Feminism requires an infinite resource of beautiful women and infinite resource of hard-working men (when you define the term as your description for hard-working). It means that everybody gets equally rewarded with a partner they find attractive. It's simply not possible.

A woman is supposed to be her husband’s helpmeet. She may even help her husband with his income, but as his helper, not a "second provider".
