Regarding the false accusations. I hear lots of people talking about this case. I see lots of men talking about how the women should be sentenced to jail (though i doubt that that is going to happen). About how they should do something so that this never happens.

But many seems to be forgetting something very important in this case.

It is about the detective handling the case.

The rape accusations from women are going to to come. There is no stop to that. And unlike in this case in which this was found to be false, there will be many cases in which men will be sentenced to jail just because the detective thought the man deserved it.

No one is talking about what sort of punishment the detective is going to get. Because from what i hear he disregarded the phone messages the woman had sent to Richard asking for violent and rough sex and talking about rape fantasies.

He even went as for as to obstruct Richards attorney from getting the phone messages records because apparently "they were not relevant to the case". I dont know much about law but that seems like obstruction of justice. But no one is talking about any punishment to him.

In summary, if a women falsely accuse someone of rape and if it makes it to the court hearing then the women is not the only one who should be punished but the detective should also punished.

If the detective was simply incompetent then he should be punished appropriately. But if he was like in this case and actively disregarding evidence supporting the defendant he should atleast be suspended and must undergo investigation.

Edit i had a brain fart when i wrote the title the victim is liam adam
