I came across a post today where a woman claims men have "male privilege". I examined the texts and decided that, even tho some of it was true to certain extent, it fails completely to understand the fact that women too have many privileges and as such comparing women and men would be an apples to oranges comparison. I am quoting "male privilege" here, even tho those are privileges, because it gives a false pretext that only men have the privilege and women are not treated fairly or preferred in many circumstances over men. So although, these privileges do exist, claiming that a gender has "privilege" would give a false context that, the other gender is not discriminated against in different but not less important circumstances.

Now that I have made it clear, I want to collect a bunch of circumstances where women are preferred over men, so that when people claim that men have privilege, they get a more balanced view of the reality after reading this. I have found this comment to be extremely useful, I will append the things you say to this comment (your name will be mentioned if you like, please specify).

PS: Kudos to the person who wrote this comment btw.... Also, I do not wish to trivialize the genuine suffering women have to bare in many parts of the world, but I just want to display that the men aren't immune from different but equally important problems. It's not an oppression olympics, issues pertaining to both genders are deeply important.https://www.reddit.com/r/MensRights/comments/xgdg52/comment/iorrhm9/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3
