Crosspost "Feminism in school" from /r/SchoolSystemBroke:

God it is so unfair. When I was in school I had two teachers that would call themselves feminist but were actually sexist. Girls would always get the benefit of the doubt. A girl brought a knife in a cut another girl, and she was warned not to do it again. A boy accidentally brings in a small multitool he forgot, and is suspended. The female teachers would constantly talk trash about men and would always make the excuse "it is because they are boys." They would always give girls better grades and treat girls better. Onetime in a afterschool activity I jokingly asked the teacher if my friend and I could work in a event together( we are both guys) and she made it a gendered issue and asked if it was because his partners were women. Female sports would be heavily announced on and were personally agnologed. Men sports were rarely ever touched upon. But the main reason I wrote this post was because of what happened to my favorite teacher. We had a joint class and one of the girls started picking on a boy. The female teacher yelled at him and said he provoked her and my male teacher said that girls will be girls. He literally got (suspened?) From teaching for a while because of that.
