"Gender" is a semantical concept, a mere abstract.

The proper term is sex. A classification based on the 23rd chromosomal pair (the "sexual chromosomes") which is the objective metric we use to determine whether someone is male or female.

"Gender" has no objective metric because as we established, it is a semantical concept, a mere abstract (I.e. man = he, woman = she, poptart = it).

Feminism/SJW ideology is inconsistent with itself on many things. Tabula rasa is just another incongruous notion to add to the pile.

'Gender' is a construct, a totally irrelevant totally useless construct who's meaning changes daily.

Your "sex" is not a construct, it's physically encoded in your chromosomes. Whatever 'gender' may mean today or tomorrow, it's not the same thing as your sex.

I've been pointing this out for years. It's nice to see an article address the subject.

Feminists embrace a dual strategy by simultaneously claiming that gender is a social construct and that females are biologically superior. This goes all the way back to the 19th century.

Elizabeth Cady Stanton, who mounted the first feminist protest in the US, wrote in her diary that women are "infinitely superior" to men. This belief persisted, and is a major reason women got the vote. For the average woman, it wasn't so much "I can't vote and am therefore oppressed (tons of women opposed female suffrage because they were worried about civic obligations like conscription), it was "if I can vote I will have a civilizing influence on those male brutes." At the same time, early behaviorists like John Watson were arguing that people were just "blank slates."

I can't remember the exact title, but there was a recent article by a feminist "science" journalist saying something like, "men will be envious when they learn about female brains." Click on another webpage and you'll find another article by another feminist claiming that male and female brains are identical.

Though absurd and contradictory this is has proven to be a highly effective strategy. Take schooling. Feminists re-arranged the education system to favor girls. However, if challenged, they can simply say "boys just need to be socialized more like girls and the problem will be solved."

And around and around we go.

Gender IS a construct, it is SEX that is natural. Until people realize that and stop conflating the two, this conversation will go nowhere.
