I'd suggest you stay away from language like "oppressed".

Neither men nor women are oppressed in Western societies.

It's more akin to soft social pressure to conform to certain gender norms than oppression. You may get the odd person "pooh poohing" you if you step outside their gender expectations but it's a free country and you can express your gender anyway you like.

I think sentencing disparities would demonstrate what you're going for much more clearly, because then you can pull race into it also. If your teacher is left-leaning, showing them the disparity between black-whites, and then gender, will have a much more profound effect intellectually than anything else. Especially with how institutional it is also.

Sentencing disparity has been covered elsewhere in this thread, but I'd also suggest talking to the boys crisis in schools. There's a lot of good information on a voice for male students that is sobering. Especially when you forecast the economics of men over the next 30-40 years based on existing trends. Fewer men are making it out of highschool, and work that doesn't require a degree is getting scarcer and paying less.
