It's a common thing for guys to view themselves as ugly since we're more likely to make fun of each other about our appearances. Growing up every day in school we use to get on each other about our flaws in our looks.

I don't know about common but yeah, it happens with guys too for sure, especially since guys are the ones who are often expected to the the initiators all the time and pursue women so if they're constantly rejected especially if they get harsh responses it's only natural a lot of them would start feeling insecure about themselves.

This is just another reason why people on this sub rant about SJWs and Feminists so much because they're the ones who are constantly putting men down. How often do you hear for example the constant insulting of guys who are pissed off about their situations and want to improve on themselves where they keep calling them incels, virgins and losers etc.?

This is how it all ends up and it's shit like this that helps create incels in the first place, a lot of people don't realise it.

Insecurity in guys is a fairly common thing. The problem its written off by society at large because "men are supposed to always be cool tough and confident". It also doesn't help that even those that claim to be against such standards have no problem invoking them when it suits them.

I bet a lot of them would appreciate the kind words.

I have posted there (under another account). It was a pretty bad experience. Everyone was critical, some offered some advice but commenters who made it clear they were women were rather harsh and cruel (while I never thought I was the best looking, I didn't think I looked THAT bad). r/FreeCompliments/ is better IMO (still much kinder and more upvote friendly to women, but at least you won't get negativity).

It truly is an underrepresented problem but I personally don't feel insecure and just know that I look worse than a lot of the guys surrounding me so sometimes amiugly is used to see if you truly can't fix the issue or if you're just around much better looking people

Yeah, that sounds about right. I'm going to be a Junior in High school and will probably graduate never having dated anyone for multiple reasons the main one being my crushed self-confidence from years of bullying. Now if anyone shows interest in me I either don't notice it or don't take my chance because in my mind I have a 1 in 10 chance that they will actually accept. And I have zero dating experience which also causes some worse self-confidence.

Want a good woman's interest? Show some confidence, own your face as the woman that put that front and center are the same one's that check out your arse, not for looks, but to see how thick your wallet is.

I have a young friend that is not at all what i'd call "great looking", maybe a 6 or 7 on that scale, but he owns every woman he speaks to because he has no fear, and a level of self confidence that we'd have a hard time measuring.

Let me play the wizard here for a second.

I've seen men a lot uglier than those guys thinking they don't measure up, with not much more money, walking around with not only good looking women, but together women ....but they have what you do not have, a certificate of confidence.

Need to stop attacking these guys and teach them, bring them into a better understanding of the sexes and what it means to be a man. They live in a world of women, and have no idea.

It’s called not being a pussy. Sorry but a man should not be concerned with that bullshit. If he had a gf, then obviously there is nothing wrong with him, it’s as simple as that.

This sub sometimes goes too far. We shouldn’t encourage men to be more emotional, or they won’t be able to cope with harder things in life. It will just make them more sensitive.
