From my understanding, aren't the competitions themselves gendered? I could be wrong; I've never done competitive gymnastics myself, but I swore they were typically separated?

It's equality when males have to accommodate female athletes and not possible is it disadvantages the results for female athletes.

It's a surprising video, because men performing women's sports is usually presented as a girlpower exercise that requires the men to be humiliated - the hockey players unable to keep up with the little ice dancer's workout, grudgingly admitting at the end that she's a real athlete.

But Johnson and Liukin assume from the start that the men will be very good, and they're gracious about giving credit where it's due. A little bit of testosterone goes a long way when it comes to those explosive jumps.

Freaking hell.

This reminds me of this contest my friends like to compete in. And aparently, when giving the awards to the top competitors, the judges were like "Wait, there's not many girls here. Let's decide which boy to replace".

F..k them.

What happened to the level of performance that mattered? Not looks or background?
