I hope you're not representing yourself. You should know that a good family law attorney knows the judges and has a relationship with them. Get the best attorney you can afford.

It cost me 300,000 dollars and I lost my house and almost went to jail. But I won every time and now have a very good relationship with my son.

I couldn't find any MRs groups in NY. I did find some mens groups here and there in the NE but nothing specifically pertaining to MR or your particular issue re the courts/custody. I did however find this and while it may not be of any SPECIFIC help because much of it is based for Massachusetts law - but some of it isn't - maybe since you're an attorney you can use this as a type of prototype guideline to guide you for NY law:

There is also another sub pertaining to MR vs family courts somewhere on reddit other than the other two already listed but I don't have it saved. I'll try digging around for it and if I find it I'll put it in a seperate response.

Don't lose hope. Believe me you're far ahead where most men start in this horrible journey because you're a lawyer. You just probably have a lot of "homework" to do to see how you can get around what's going on.

You're in a difficult situation and there is little you can do, even though you're a lawyer which means you're more acquainted with the system. I don't want too seem inauspicious but I have friend that was I a similar situation and didn't end well. Spent a lot of time, effort and resources to fight his case with no favourable outcome in the end. He eventually had no choice but to give up, keep paying her and never spoke to his kid since. All of this out of his ex's spite.

IMO, you need to work the Parental Alienation angle. As an attorney, you should know what is required to get the protective order overturned, or you should have colleagues that you can speak to about it. I have no idea how to go about that myself, and would come to someone like you to find out.

Aside from that, you're in NYC, you're kind of fucked. I hate it for you, but, that's how it is.
