TM = toxic masculinity

I hate the stupid term "toxic masculinity" which is nothing but a misandrist buzzword. There's nothing toxic about either masculinity or femininity (and it goes without if the former can be toxic then so can the latter, and there's certainly plenty of examples of toxic femininity as well. Especially in schools). But I saw this utterly asinine comment on social media someone saying that toxic femininity is not only not as big an issue as it's counterpart but not "institutional." WTF, just how is it an institutional issue? I feel toxic masculinity is not even a real thing let alone something that's institutional. How is it as such? It just comes off as more misandrist victimhood and gaslighting, and trying to further division between both men and women during a time both should be understanding of each other and helping each other out. Something of course misandrists don't want.

I know I shouldn't be bothered by a comment some internet idiot says, but it's just painful to think there's people this ignorant who try passing off something like this as factual. I feel the instant one uses terms like "toxic masculinity" they cease to be an individual with any sort of integrity or credability. It's a term that should be completely stricken and wiped from the public lexicon. People can be toxic but being either masculine or feminine has nothing to do with it. And then to claim it's somehow "institutional." Like a group of toxic men in power just decided to sign stuff into law that somehow enforces their said toxicity against the rest of the populace and particularly women. Such a silly way of thinking.
