VAW = violence against women
I've seen some misandrists try to deflect from the issue of violence against men and boys (especially by women, which certainly occurs in much higher numbers than many realize) not only with the usual diatribe about how male VAW is much higher, how violent women are only acting in self-defense, but also claiming that it's systematic. Just how is MVAW systematic? Do misandrists seriously believe men all over the world are conspiring to think of ways to harm women and make their lives dangerous? Or that it's a law for men to be violent to women? MVAW is always given so much attention and has so much activism done for it, meanwhile FVAM gets virtually no attention and is always brushed off and marginalized and never taken seriously. I even saw one mind-blowingly idiotic and ignorant comment from someone saying it's impossible for women to sexually harass men because women supposedly lack systematic power to do so. I honestly felt like I lost brain cells reading that, how dumb does one have to be to seriously think this?
Violence against both men and women by both men and women are awful things and both happen more than they should, and both men and women also harass each other and do generally terrible things to one another. But as always, misandrists want to deflect from and even ignore any sort of issues that affect men and always push their annoying and infuriating "women most affected" narrative and create division. And what's truly disgusting about this besides the constant ignoring of male victims and female perps, but exploiting women who have genuinely been mistreated and abused (by men and other women alike) to enforce this agenda.
At least in the West, I fail to see how MVAW is systematic considering all of the activism and awareness it's given, and moreso given the notion of "believe women" and how law enforcement will always side with women when they have accusations even with no evidence and due process for accused men gets flushed down the toilet. Not to mention almost no shelters for male victims (with some domestic violence shelthers even turning men away, which is clearly discrimination), no campaigns about FVAM, and even with the Amber Heard/Johnny Depp case bringing much-needed attention to this subject, Heard still has many on her side despite evidence clearly proving she was being abusive and manipulative.
