I am just seeing if I am too far on one side of this issue. Last night I was in a guild type chat. I thought (Mind you I was drunk) that it would be funny to call my cheating ex and leave a stupid voice mail. No one complained openly. In fact I was cheered on. They took it to the leadership of the guild (Which they are a part of) and attempted to tell me that just because they were personally offended I should not do things of that nature. My argument was that I did not say anything bad about women, people or anything in generally. I was just a guy attempting to vent and blow off steam. They could not even articulate why they were offended. I still do not understand why I was called out to defend my actions when no one could tell me what exactly I did wrong outside of "Airing personal laundry." If anything I made myself look stupid, I accept that. How can I argue with a women being upset (Yes it was a women that had a problem with me calling my ex) when it would be easier to just let her have her way and shut up? That is essentially what they said. That because she was offended I should stop doing things of that nature. Even though she could not say exactly what about said or did was offensive. Thoughts?
