There’s no confirmation from Rich or NBC, but Rich was one of 12 writers listed in the credits of Thursday’s “Weekend Update: Summer Edition,” a short-run, prime-time comedy show filling the gap until “SNL” returns this fall.

I'm not surprised they made no mention of this, this was by design. What Pun-in-Chief fails to realise is that as the OP is saying not only would a man never get away with this it shows you the lengths these people will go to protect one of their own within their ideology.

The same thing has happened here in the UK on a much greater scale where you have the head of the crown prosecution service leaving because of how she pretty much conspired to make sure police didn't properly investigate rape accusations.

What happens next? Well, she ends up getting a job elsewhere and a £1.8 million pension, I'm not making it up. Gender based double standards are a men's rights issue and no amount of flippant dismissal will make it otherwise.
