So your lazing at the quiet end of the pool at an all inclusive resort. Suddenly it becomes apparent that a young girl (maybe 10yo by the look of her) has come off her inflatable and is now panicking in the water, you look for the parents but everyone including resort staff seems to be at the other end of the pool where there is loud music playing. You feel that you should wade into the pool to rescue her, especially since she is now floating face down and motionless, but you hesitate. DO YOU

Rush to the other end of the pool to alert staff or find the parents which may take say additional 30 to 60 seconds, and this kid has stopped breathing. This is the safe option but you will be criticised for not doing the heroic thing.

Wade in and grab the girl who then may then start breathing, struggling and crying. But you are aware that there is a fair chance that you could be accused of molestation by the parents of the very girl you was saving, get accused of being a paedophile, subsequently arrested and FUCKED FOR LIFE!

This happened to a friend of mine and he didn't go in the water because of the above concerns and I AGREE with his decision, even if there was a small chance the girl could have drowned here.

The girl was ok in the end. But how sad is this situation, and what would you have done?
