Looks like I'll be updating my obligatory list of organizations opposed to the practice. It's not surprising that they're attacking the AAP; the practice has come under hard scrutiny and the AAP is in terror of the doctors they lobby for being held accountable, so they panicked and overshot their defense by outright lying. The AAP doth protest too much, the rest of the world thinks. The list already:

Why, oh why, did they not at least hint at the proud statement by Freedman (one of the eight on the AAP's "Task Force") to personally have religiously circumcised his son on his parents' kitchen table when heading their comment with "Cultural bias [...]"?

I know it's not cool to be religiously tolerant, but I think it's morally wrong to tell Jewish parents that they cannot circumcise their sons. Think about it, how can a person be prochoice when it comes to whether or not a child even gets a chance to live and not respect a parent's right to observe their religious traditions.
