You'll have to go carefully and gradually, over a long period of time. Maybe add just a little bit of "flair" at a time and see how people around you handle it.

But plenty of men wear all kinds of fashion that's not necessarily feminine, including makeup, nails, etc. Reminds me of the whole "metrosexual" thing.

It is dangerous, but someone always has to be the first one to initiate change.

If you want to be that person you can, there are no solid answers on how dangerous it will be, or what you should or shouldn’t do.

Just do what you think is right and handle the adversity thrown your way the best you can.

That’s all any of us can do, regardless of how exotic our life decisions are.

There's a significant amount of gray area between being a man wearing typical men's fashion and being a man wearing women's fashion. The closer you get to the latter the higher your risk of social repercussions or physical violence.

For example, a man wearing red lipstick, would stand out more than wearing a women's blouse that may not be obvious to everyone who sees you.

The difference in attire has a lot to do with male disposability. Men are kept ready to serve and if required give their lives. With so much of makeup and negligible clothing you cannot possibly ask a woman to inconvenience herself, much less work or give her life. Women are allowed to have emotions, men aren’t. Women are allowed to dress, men aren’t. Women are allowed to wear makeup, men aren’t.

This is the most obvious sexist double standard there is. Women can wear anything, or almost nothing. A female professor attended a faculty meeting absolutely nude, under the guise of protesting something, they didn't even kick her out fo the meeting. A guy would've been arrested for indecent exposure.

Actually makeup was originally made for men to enhance their features. I think men who wear makeup (properly, I’ve seen some not do it very well) look phenomenal. Most women do or at least that’s what I see.

As for long hair, plenty of men wear their hair long. No one’s gonna give you weird looks on that one. The only people I’ve met who are jackass about it is my family and their jackass about everything.

No one is stopping you from wearing what you want, but I agree on one thing. Women can find elegant flattering clothing for a reasonable price. I like to buy Jazzy type clothing for my dad.. It’s EXPENSIVE! You can’t get nice flattering clothing for men unless you wanna pay a pretty penny. That needs to change.

Oh there is this guy who wears corsets like men used to do in the renaissance age (pretty sure it’s that time period) and he looks freakin awesome! You should definitely look into different styles and find one you like the most. Fashion is a great form of self expression. There are so many eras to choose from too.

(Edit: I don’t know about a lot of countries in Africa, the ones I do know of would ostracize someone like this. So I am not sure. I come from the US so this is a lot more excepted, California no less. California is known for being a diverse zest pool of cultures and styles. Also I want to clarify that I did not see you were from Africa the first time I typed this out😭).

You can wear more than trousers and a t-shirt as a man. Wearing a more diverse wardrobe will actually make you more attractive to women in my experience.

Wear a light jacket that goes well with your pants and the shirt underneath. Wear some scarves to help change up your outfits too. Find different colours of pants and use a colour theory chart to find what looks good with it.

An outfit ive been liking lately is white pants with a white t-shirt and black button up over top (leave it un buttoned) also looks good with a black t-shirt and a white button up

Back when I was an automotive mechanic I went into the office and told my boss that tomorrow I want to wear a kilt and a tank top. My boss laughed until he saw that I was serious. He told me I can't. I them pointed to a female employee wearing a skirt and spaghetti strap shirt. He told me that "it different..she needs her assets to makes sales". It's other males that create this bull shit.

Walking around with a skirt for one year now and I have to say: At least here where I am it's not dangerous, but you have to be able to cope with the stares and comments, especially by women
