I've been giving this some thought...maybe the feminists have it right. Maybe patriarchy is the problem.

Under the patriarchy, men have been taught to protect. This turns to chivalry. Chivalry in modern day isn't about holding doors open, or helping someone putting on a jacket, it boils down to financial, social interaction and problem solving.

Given women are at least on par with men from a salary and education perspective, maybe it's time men realized we should change how we think for strange women (first few dates or randos):

  • split the bill for for EVERYTHING
  • only date women who can contribute to your financial betterment. DO NOT date women who make less than you.
  • BE VERY selective about the physical attributes you are attracted to - don't settle for less
  • NEVER buy drinks
  • NEVER solve problems - unless asked for input
  • NEVER chase. Ask once. Take whatever answer given as fact.

Most importantly - Be willing to walk away at any moment.

If we don't change the way we act and think, women won't inspire the change needed in the system for change.
