I really don't care for VA or his sick and twisted subreddits. What I do care for is the fact that I wouldn't want ANYONE doing to me what was done to him, and apparently 20 other redditors.

If I were doxxed, and some SRSer figured out who my employer was, I would get fired. I would get fired for holding the view that Men have rights that are being infringed upon.

So no, I don't care to defend some weirdo on the internet. What I do care about is SRS and Gawker thinking that they've found another tool with which to use against people they dislike.

Let's flood r/MR with posts and comments in defense of the guy who created the sub where a teacher posted pictures of his underage students, taken without their knowledge. Oh, and another sub called r/jailbait, which I think speaks for itself. That won't come back to haunt us, will it?

As I struggled during my divorce, and still do, I have always been afraid that posting to forums like glennsacks.com (when we could comment there) (and before reddit) would get me doxxed in real life and in court.

My lawyer told me to be very careful of what I said online because it would be examined.

Daily we do hear of what people write in Facebook coming back to haunt them during divorces (and not just the dumbasses soliciting assassinations.)

So I am opposed to doxxing because I would like to encourage speech, even ugly speech, on the Internet. Sometimes ugly speech brings up the most interesting issues and highlights the real problems.

I can understand why you dislike this topic, I think that the time we spend here condemning circumcision as bad as female genital mutilation is also not likely to help us in the long run.

My suggestion for today and tomorrow then is for you to link to a bunch of circumcision articles, or maybe articles about how men are expected to tip more, or male waiters get tipped less, because the #3 distraction on the net is threads about tips and tipping.
