After nearly a year of getting my rights trampled, and not being able to see or talk to my youngest son, I am happy to report today we finally got a hold of him. Every Thursday his brother and I call at the time we have been ordered by the court to call. And for the past year, it simply goes to an answering machine. I finally hired an atty and for the past two weeks left voicemails stating the date and time as I recorded my attempts. Apparently the message I was about to take my ex to court got thru. He finally picked up the phone and I nearly exploded in joy. The conversation was tough to have as he asked questions of why I havent called him in so long, and why he has not been able to play with us anymore. I did my best to keep the conversation on a positive note and talk about all the silly things we will do and places we will go when we finally get the chance.

It only solidifies in my mind that I must continue to do everything I possibly can to take her to court, and get some sort of action done. It sucks to have to bear the burden of having your child ripped from you. It sucks having the system stacked against you. It sucks feeling helpless to do anything about it. But you gotta keep trying and fighting. It sucks even more for them, your kids not understanding, not knowing, being told you do not care for them.

Do not give up hope. Do not let them win. Do not let anyone take your kids from you or flaunt the law. Keep fighting, keep trying, keep struggling. It the only thing you can do, and when the day comes you finally score a little victory, it will give you the strength to keep on. They need you most of all.
