I hate the "manspreading" nonsense as much as anyone, but a picture of a single woman (who btw clearly suffers from some sort of physical debilitation) does not illustrate anything of value.
A single instance of something is not a trend. If someone says "men need to stop sitting with their legs so far apart and leave space for more passengers", and you respond with "here's a picture of a woman doing the same thing" you have not rebutted their argument. Their argument is about a trend among men, your rebuttal is a single counter-example.

Right, so there are circumstances under which "manspreading" may be OK.
Another: When a man or woman is sitting down, with nobody around, and wants to spread out.
The point of this image should not be to shame (which it likely wasn't), but to point out that just seeing this particular "act" isn't justification for hassling the one who's doing it.

My point is the whole issue is hypocritical. I have been accused of manspreading, I've even been forced to give up my seat.
But as a disabled man, I've never seen a (visually) healthy woman treated the same way.

Ok. I still don't understand the point. Wow, a person who requires a cane is utilizing space they need, anti-manspreading argument!. This post is as ridiculous as the whole manspreading thing in general.
