It's the usual stuff. Here we go. 1. You get paid less than men. No, You EARN less.

You typically pay more for shampoo. Entirely your choice.
Singles pay more for insurance. This is the result of market analysis by free agents.
You are less likely to be a CEO. See # 3
Don't expect paid time off when you have a baby. Why should you be paid for work you are not doing?
You are more likely to earn the minimum wage. Again, the result of free market conditions and despite enormous privilege for women in education, grants etc.
College debts take a bigger chunk out of your pay check. The result of a poor decision to get a degree that does little to improve employability.
Childcare is expensive. Don't have children you cannot support.
You don't get the startup funding that men do. See #3. Also probably not true.
You might pay more for disability insurance. See #3

You get paid less than men! No you really don't, women in general make less than men in general. This figure is only relevant in the highly unlikely scenario where there was a contest between the group of all men versus the group of all women and the objective was to have the highest paycheck. That's not going to happen ever.
You typically pay more for shampoo! No you really don't, women in general choose to buy name brand products rather than the cheaper regular ones. As a single woman you have the freedom to purchase whatever you can afford in a store, you have the freedom to manage your own economy and decide yourself what you think is worth spending extra money on. The market knows this and so it has learned that women are more likely to spend more money on certain products. Thus the companies themselves spend more money to develop said products. Good luck trying to find a shampoo for men that isn't also a 3in1 with soap and conditioner.
Singles pay more for car insurance! Hooray! A statement that's actually true! Too bad it's only tangentially related to the original premise however. Yeah singles pay more for car insurance but single men pay more than single women. This is because car insurance is based on risk assessment and young single men are more likely to be in car accidents by the metric used. Women tend to have more accidents per driven mile but men tend to have more accidents overall since they drive vastly more miles for example.
You are far less likely to be CEO! No you really aren't, there are more male than female CEOs but this has literally no predictive ability on the chances of any specific woman to be CEO. You could just as well use the same metric to say that women really aren't suited to be CEOs, and as long as your only source is the number of current female and male CEOs your argument would hold just as little ground. If you have the same motivation and skills as a man you are actually more likely than him to make CEO due to all the efforts put in place to help women advance in the corporate world.
Don't expect paid time off when you have a baby! This is only partially true and still falls flat on it's face. Even the unpaid parental leave is only mostly applicable to women, so if you are a father you often don't get any leave at all (and why should you since you basically have no rights to see your child anyways). Coming from a socialist country I actually think that there should be paid parental leave and that it should be shared relatively equally between parents. Don't have a father for the kid, too bad you only get half the time off. Besides with the ridiculous child support laws in the US and the parental support system you have little need for paid leave anyways. Lastly having kids is a choice and such not something you have to do. You have the right to make the choice but not the right to make it without consequences.
You are more likely to earn minimum wage! No you really aren't, women in general are more likely to hold jobs that pay minimum wage. However this is not enough to predict the risk of any one woman ending up in that situation. It does come down to personal choices, aspirations, and actions. Also noted that the poverty line is based on earnings and child support and government aid is not counted as earnings. This is why a father paying child support can be counted as being above the poverty line but have less money to use than the mother who is beneath the poverty line and receives the child support and government aid. Bad metrics are bad metrics.
College debt takes a bigger bite out of your paycheck! No it really doesn't, women in general major in subjects and areas that are not likely to yield high paying jobs. This again does not say anything about the individual woman and again is down to personal choice. The fact of the matter is that if a woman and man have equal credentials in the same STEM field the woman is more likely to get a job, and she's more likely to get higher pay than the man, especially if they are both single. Having a college education with good grades is only as good as the actual courses you chose to take. Again it has nothing to do with you being a woman and everything to do with the personal choices you make.
Childcare is expensive! No shit Sherlock! Guess what though, so is child support! And this is only important if you choose to have children, and then only if you choose to leave the father out of the whole thing as well. Completely shared parenting and custody will lead to less financial burden on both parents. That being said the state of childcare in the states is fucking insane and definitely in need of a change. So here's an idea for the entrepreneurial single mother; what about starting a daycare service? There's clearly money to be made and an abundance of clients.
You don't get the startup funding that men do! Sneaky but yes you really do, women in general get less funding than men in general but you can look back to question #1 for what that means. "Venture Capitalists" are mostly interested in short term high reward investments, if your idea or startup doesn't fit those criteria you are less likely to get funds. It's a flawed system in many ways but not because you are a woman. Ironically it's all about how good you are at selling yourself.
You might pay more for disability insurance! Well you might and you might not, this is actually a pretty interesting thing. First insurance policies work according to risk assessment, if you are higher risk you pay a higher premium. What's interesting about this is that

disability insurance is for when you get hurt on the job and can't work for a while.

Historically women filed more disability claims.

Still men are an overwhelmingly majority in the amount of workplace casualties and major injuries. Men are much more likely to hold jobs with high risk of injury and they are more likely to actually be injured, but they are not more likely to file for disability insurance.

What's up with that?

The bottom line is women have a personal responsibility for their actions and in general women tend to make decisions that put them in their current situation. This says nothing of individual women and their ability to take responsibility and make better thought out decisions. Basically the entire article is a non issue that at best does nothing but at worst actually keeps women from succeeding in life because they get the idea that it's pointless to even try. Shame on you Heather Long, what's your wage compared to your male peers?
