This may be the wrong sub but I think it still be in here.

When I was growing up all I’d see was that the main point of happiness was to get married and have kids. That’s what all the stories and fantasies are right? As I am growing I feel like that may never happen in the world we live in. Sure it’s a confidence issue and whatever but think about it. Women no longer need a protector or even someone to bring home the money. It seems that today we are starting to stray away from happiness. Men are so scared to get into a relationship that will either end in divorce and just a financial disaster that we no longer desire one. Hell if the relationship goes well, you have kids, but she just gets bored of you, well there goes half your possessions and most likely custody of your kids. And I know I’m young still but I’d like to have a loving family some day, but just seeing all the awful results that men go through it’s becoming more and more… depressing. I want to be a good husband and father. But I’m scared of it being taken away from me. My dad in his previous relationship (before he had me) was just like that. But he is much stronger than me. If something like this happened to me well I’d be stuck, I wouldn’t know what to do and break down. Relationships today are too beneficial and convenient for women. If it goes wrong well the man gets screwed. These are just some thoughts I’ve been having. I’m sorry if it is in the wrong sub. But it’s been really getting me down and I had to express it somewhere.
