This happens in every facet of Hollywood because it is safe and okay to paint men and boys with a broad brush. The only demographic it is socially acceptable to stereotype, by the way.

Men are animals? Pigs? That‘s just what most people in misandrist Western society think. I would Only expect such a thing from shows. I have quit listening to podcasts before that clearly have misandrist beliefs.

Haven't seen the show, but here's what I've noticed about school dress code complaints.

Usually the girls have a lot more choices of attire. Dresses, skirts, pants, and tops, and a variety of footwear. The boys have pants and tops, and usually shoes or sneakers. The girls will wear something not approved, then when called out, often by a female teacher, they say something like, well why can't the boys control themselves, when boys weren't involved at all.

For most workplaces it's worse. At many work places men can never show their legs, never their upper arms, and never their toes or even ankles: socks and shoes always, while women can wear all kinds of sandals and still be professional.

And yet women are the most affected and the most discriminated against.

That's a very simplistic and extreme strawman of what is a much more nuanced situation in reality.

We are still largely animals, with a veneer of control. We can control our urges to some degree, but it comes at a cost and takes effort, especially in the presence of incitement of arousal.

Why should half the population be the only ones to control their urges for the benefit of the other half? How are women doing in controlling their own particular urges? When was the last time a woman restrained herself from nagging a male partner to do something he didn't want? Just as one example of how pervasive the difficulty in controlling urges can be in reality.

Women are not dressing for their own satisfaction: it's subconsciously about sexuality and attracting a mate. Prostitutes don't dress how they do for no reason: its all about advertising sex for them.

It's not about men demanding women cover up, but to appreciate that what they choose to do has an effect on someone else, which comes with consequences. It's interrelated, not a one way thing and there are no easy answers.

However, it is nuanced and generalisation doesn't express the wide range of male perspective in this matter, yet it would also be true to say that we mustn't reject the notion of animal behaviour simply because not everyone behaves that way, because crimes are also not perpetrated by everyone yet are still valid concerns.

100% agree! It's a great show but according to them the only struggles boys have is keeping control of their sexual urges. Yes it's played on for comic effect, I get that. But still.

The number of times I've had this argument with someone .-. Generalisation is disgusting either way; doesn't matter who's the victim. But I've been hit with things like "it's to start a conversation" or "it's about the minorities ranting/venting" and I do understand it to some extent? Except, that's them imagining that no decent male human being will put some douchebag in his place if he says/does some crap (I personally do) but that's not the case with all men (the last two words are taboo because apparently it distracts from the main problem) Basically it's them expressing anger because they've had many men (3-4 major people in their lives who were men) who were plain assholes so apparently we can all be called assholes and the minority/lesser privileged in a scenario shouldn't always play the educating activist.

Society as a whole has done this about men nonstop forever, no surprise here.

Of course men are always the uncontrollable sexual perverts, not the women who dress in public in borderline stripper attire and shake their assses at any given chance. Not the women who objectify men or fantasize nonstop about large penises, or the women who spend hours a day applying makeup to get looks from guys.

Women are the primary consumers and primary consumption controllers (their partners will go giga cuck mode to agree with them to keep them happy) so upsetting them is not profitable.

The dress code debate falls into: you either equate men with animals (can't hold my urges) and by doing so not only you justify rape but you also justify other animalistic behaviours like killing (I felt the urge of killing so I did it), we humans evolved way beyond that so there is no defending this. Or we drop the whole idea of dress codes (end result) to a level where we don't even mind if people walk around naked (personally I don't give a fuck) or we abide by said dress codes in a private entity for whatever reason they believe in other than someone is being horny (used agaisnt men). Now for the horny part we need to look for solutions but thats anothe topic.
