They don't suggest more support for fathers, they want more surveillance of men.

The statement "It said the country is in the “unacceptable” position of knowing the least about those who pose the biggest risk to babies’ lives.", is a lie.

This article from Australia says mothers and fathers kill their children at similar rates but women are "sick" and kill out of neglect and mental illness. Of course, men are just bad and kill out of revenge. It's all about the woman of course.

There is no honesty in this system.

"It is calling for services to work with men to address significant risk factors, such as domestic abuse, substance misuse, and mental health problems, before the additional stressor of a baby’s birth."

Can't see where the article is saying men kill out of revenge. The article says that men from vulnerable families may have these problems and the services should provide help to make sure this doesn't kill the baby.

Ideally these programs will help men overcome these problems and highlight their emotional well-being. I see this more of a indication that atleast some people are seeing that the father is as much important in a child's life as the mother and acknowledges their role.

Reasons men kill their children:

Fathers who kill their children, meanwhile, are more likely to have a history of domestic and family violence. They are more likely to kill out of revenge towards a partner or former partner in the context of family separation.

Implying men kill to their children to control their wives. It all revolves around women.

Reasons women kill their children:

Research indicates that gender does, in fact, play a role in the type of crime committed and the motivations behind it.
Accidental killings of children, for instance, are more likely to be the result of neglect among mothers and abuse among fathers and stepfathers. This reflects what we know about gender patterns in childcare responsibility and domestic and family violence.
In cases where children are killed intentionally, women are more likely to kill babies and newborns, particularly in circumstances of unwanted pregnancies. Such offenders are more likely to be young and have low levels of social support, although it is increasingly reported among older women.

Mothers are also more likely to kill their children during a psychotic episode.
For example, in 2017, a court found Raina Thaiday of Queensland, who killed her seven children and niece, had been experiencing a severe psychotic episode linked to schizophrenia triggered by long-term cannabis use. The court ruled she could not be found criminally responsible for her actions.

And here is the worst:

Women are also more likely to kill children out of a warped belief they are sparing them pain – for instance, of losing a parent to suicide.

But isn't this the conclusion for research data? The research never says Mothers who kill their children are innocent or victims. It says that we should address such nonsense and think from point of view of children.

The research is just reviewing the common causes of Filicide in Australia and even they say not all Men who kill their children are controlling wifebeaters and not all Women who kill their children are nutjobs.

"While gender patterns around filicide are important to research in order to understand why these crimes happen, not all cases fit neatly into these boxes. Mental illness is often a common interacting factor in both maternal and paternal filicide, and the causes are often complex and multiple."

Just because a lot of men are nice people who respect the other gender, doesn't mean all men are. It goes just the same for women or when you take any set of people. Just because you haven't seen a bad X doesn't mean bad Xs doesn't exist.

The stereotypes are born of a philosophy. A philosophy based on assumptions coming directly from radical feminist critical theory.

It is very hard to study men if you assume that they are killing due to some cause when you can't be in a man's mind. Or a woman's mind.

So writers get lazy and say "most domestic violence is done by men against women". When in reality 2/3 is men against women and 1/3 is women against men. Are the women controlling?

According to our currently accepted theory of interpersonal violence men are always controlling and all their behavior is assumed to be to get that women under control to clean his house and give hime sex and children.

If you understand the history of this you would know that at first the rule of DV or interpersonal violence was the "primary aggressor" theory. In this theory who ever hits first is guilty. Makes sense right? They they made a mandatory arrest policy.

Well, 1/3 of the time the women was arrested during DV calls.

The radical feminists freaked out. This was supposed to be a tool and women were supposed to never be violent.

So they invented the Duluth model of DV. Learn the Duluth model.

In the Duluth model, masculine traits and size of the opponents is taken into account making men, by definition, the guilty party.

They didn't prove anything in this article, they just listed the standard talking points about men bad...women good. It' sexist on the face of it. That's how you know it's bigoted.

Fathers and stepfathers were a “significantly” greater source of physical abuse to these babies than mothers, it said.

This is a lie. It's a very different situation between fathers and step-fathers. What's really happening is (as with some other mammals) the mother is looking for a new male mate if the original father is not present. But the new DNA (new male) doesn't want the old DNA (50% of the baby) competing for resources and so the mother and the new male both decide that the baby has to go. Unusually by killing it in the wild. It's a well known DNA competition result in nature. Sometimes the mother sometimes the new male sometimes both kill the old children so that the new relationship can proceed.

In humans something similar happens but the phrase "step father" is bogus because they know the key is an unrelated male introduced by the mother after she got rid of the biologically related male. So they know the mother's decision is the real issue but it's all blame the nearest male crap. None of this happens if the original father is around.

it's a sad reminder that we're not much above animals still. Child abuse is 100 times worse when the mother takes up with a new unrelated male. Pretty spectacular stat.
