I remember going to a group event for speed dating a few months back. So there was one really handsome guy asking tons of creepy questions whereas the other guys were average-looking but actually tried to get to know the women. At the end, the handsome guy still got plenty of women asking for his number. Fast-forward several weeks later, it turns out this guy assaulted the women he went out with. The red flags were all there but the women still picked him anyway. At the risk of being accused of victim-blaming, I think this is part of the reason why many women end up with an abusive partner. Imagine you can pick from 99 decent guys and one asshole guy, and picking the one asshole in the group, then complain "where are all the good men?"
