It could be added that in the UK men pay 72% of taxes.

And men only account for 25% of domestic spending

...because they more often than not have a wife shopping for their clothes, the kids clothes, groceries, household needs, and so on. That statistic makes it sound like women are taking money they have no right to and blowing it on themselves, not that they're shopping for the family with the family budget.

This is a huge myth. Us men actually spend more time and money as a direct 1 on 1 comparison in men vs women. We just hide our shit better. "I bought a car" goes over a lot easier, is much more costly and generally takes more time than purchasing 20 new pairs of shoes. The difference is that we tend to be so very utilitarian in our purchases, hence more costly, and it seems like it's an exception to our everyday lives, rather than a habit of adding to our wardrobes twice a month. There's plenty of valid statistics for us to point out without having to adopt false ones. It undermines our credibility when we do this.

Is that really true?

I see 10x as many soccer moms driving fancy SUVs than I do men driving sports cars.

And I see far more men cycling and taking public transport.

I'd love to see a proper comparison.

Yeah, it's actually true. There's lots of comparisons out there, but the basic jist is the same.

And that women account for 75% i=of health expenditures.
