I read a lot about how women are unable to fend off attackers in rape situations. They need assistance from the government, bystanders, anyone within earshot or a Twitter feed to stop the violence. If this level of support is required why, oh why, would we expect these same women to defend the front lines in a time of war?

If the answer is, 'Military training prepares one for the rigors of combat' then how about we augment ROTC programs on campus instead of wasting time and money teaching men who don't rape not to rape?
