Because men put up with it. Just don't, walk away, and move on to find someone who doesn't care about those things?

Title should be how to be a sugar daddy. You barely need to do any of this if you actually find a quality woman.

You know, if you break down the things in your "HOW TO BE A GOOD GIRLFRIEND" list into individual actions - where "look good" breaks down to "avoid water weight gain" "have clear skin" "be good enough with makeup that you look like you aren't wearing any except when you dress up", etc etc - the lists start to look a lot more equal.

I'm not disagreeing with anything you listed here, but you over-simplified the actions one has to take to be a "good girlfried" pretty heavily. I understand that the things you feel you have to do to maintain a relationship feel like a huge burden. I'm not going to tell you that they aren't. We feel addicted and driven to do these things to keep crushing loneliness at bay and it's terrible.

But honestly? Being poor, disabled, and annoying hasn't really kept me from having an OK dating life. Of everything on your list, confidence is probably the most important. The stuff about cars and paying for dates may be true in some contexts, but dating in cities doesn't tend to be that high-strung unless you're specifically seeking women who were raised to expect these things. (and if you are, then you've REALLY underestimated the range of things a woman has to do to be a good girlfriend for that kind of person.)

I'm not sure how old you are, and how much experience you have with women at this point, but I'm gonna be 42 this year and pretty much ticked everything off the bucket list my 20-year-old self constructed. I am tallish, confident, witty, and a good conversationalist. I've never really had a respectable job, or made more than $20K in a year, or owned a house. Your list is a good list of the range of things a man can use to get women, but it's not all required, I promise.

Though, if you're compiling a list of optional behaviors, add something about being able to show competence at a somewhat difficult activity. This is why guitarists get laid. If you appear to have mastered something, you will get laid when you can show mastery.

The order of attraction for almost every woman is : a competent man, a confident man, an attractive man, and a wealthy man. Competence, Confidence, Appearance, Prospects. You need to have at least one, and the first two are more important than the last two.

Your "HOW TO BE A GOOD GIRLFRIEND" list is too long and too misogynistic. No woman should be expected to do any of that stuff.

Sure, that may seem like a lousy deal for the man, but whatcha gonna do? Go your own way without sacrificing your life and labor for the benefit of some lazy chick who'll outlive you? Hah!
