Like seriously, why is this? Why are women allowed to just sit back and have guys do everything for them? When was the last time a woman was expected to have enough confidence to make a move on a guy? Why are they considered dateable even if they don't own a car, because "the man should be mature and well-to-do enough to own one"? Why is it this way?
I don't think that women are less than men or that men are more capable than women. I condemn misogyny. But why are we TAUGHT that these things are okay?!?
EDIT: If you think about it, these are so misogynistic in their own way. If society thinks that men should take care of women all the way to the grave, then it implies that women are expected to do less than men. Another reason why these expectations suck.
