tl;dr Advocate for equality all you want, but if you are spreading misinformation and sexist dogmatism in the process, I will lump you in with the ones promoting supremacy.

I know quite a few people that would call themselves feminists. The only one that advocates for anything other than equality would be the one who has taken quite a few WS classes and is for "equality" + special considerations.

If you asked any of them about the wage gap, they would all produce the same .77 type figures and they sincerely believe them, even though they are a blatant example of bias and twisted statistics not telling the whole story.

They are for equality (mostly) but when the information they read and promote back out is biased (just short of outright lying), they are part of the problem.

I have unfriended a few over some comments they have posted about how DV isn't really as bad unless against a woman (based on the same type of reasoning that led to the Duluth Model), how men are 99% of rapists (due to envelopment not counting per the CDC as rape), or how they advocate for lowered standards in rape trials (advocate for stripping right to question the accuser, no punishment for proven malicious false accusations, or lowering standards to convict in criminal trials to preponderance of evidence instead of beyond reasonable doubt).
