participants were asked to read a vignette depicting harm in the workplace. For this experiment, we specified the gender of the inflictor but left the recipient’s gender ambiguous. Participants were then asked to “recall” the gender of the harmed individual. Supporting our predictions, we found they were overwhelmingly more likely to assume that the harmed individual was female, even though we never specified any gender. People instinctively assumed a female victim!

This is interesting. When I was in graduate school we had an in-class assignment where we were given a list of people at a firm and their qualifications and job description, and we were to decide who to fire. This one woman, who was a very vocal feminist, asked if anyone had noticed that of the three interns, the male intern was paid more than the others. Someone pointed out that the male intern had been working there several years longer.

What I found more interesting was that each employee was listed by only their last name, we only knew genders if pronouns were used in their descriptions. The "male" intern who earned more had no pronouns in his or her description. This woman, who was generally an awful person, had simply assumed that the intern being unfairly payed more was male, even though no gender was specified.

I'm not surprised by the study, what's blowing my mind is that this article is coming from a website called "Qu*** Majority." I've often found that MRAs are disproportionately LGB, but still LGB people are notoriously left wing and also notoriously feminist.
