I hate so much the notion of how women are to always be treated with respect no matter what, even if they're a bad person who hasn't earned it or deserves it. The entire notion is ridiculous, when was gender a criteria for being treated with respect? Both men and women alike have to earn the right to be treated with respect by being kind and respectable and doing good deeds. It should never automatically be given because of something like gender. I always took issue with this even as a kid, being told to always unconditionally respect women and girls. So I should have respect for a woman like my extremely abusive third grade teacher who regularly beat me and humiliated me in front of my class and would even encourage the other students to bully me? Respect for female bullies I had who never got properly reprimanded? Respect for the woman who exposed her breasts to me some years ago, trying to solicit me for sex? Sorry, but respect is a word that shouldn't be used in the same sentence as women and girls like these, much less granted to them.

I think unfortunately this is another big reason a lot of men and boys who are abused and whatnot by women and girls don't come forward (besides the obvious legal difficulties and biases). They feel they're being disrespectful and that somehow being abused or mistreated by a female is somehow okay when it's absolutely not. The whole "respect women" fallacy sends such an awful message to both boys and girls alike; boys are told they essentially aren't worthy of being treated with respect and dignity even if they've earned it, and girls get a sense of entitlement and untouchability and always expecting special treatment, which is something that continues well into adulthood and leads to them becoming another Amber Heard.

Respect is always earned, for both genders. Being female or male for that matter doesn't automatically gain it. If you fail to conduct yourself in a kind or respectable fashion, then you get none whatsoever. Being female is no exception. There's plenty of men and women alike who don't deserve any sort of respect. Be a kind and good person and so good deeds, and you earn respect. There's plenty of good men and women who've genuinely earned it. Anyone demanding respect because of gender deserves only scorn and mockery.
