After discussing on Facebook with a few women who posted about the recent shooting, I began trying to explain that the disolusionment in men could be attributed to the lack of role models for men, we have lost a sense of direction in a way. Women have strong role models in the media, often celebrities who are successful and project the image of a sucessful woman, for instance, Beyonce.
I feel this subreddit needs to move away from attacking feminism and focus on ourselves and do it ourselves much in the way feminism grew.
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this, but I ask you men, fictional or non-fictional, who are your role models?
For example mine are:
Aaron Kaufmann (Master mechanic from Fast n' Loud - he has a skill and he is good at it, he's successful with it)
Bill Nye the Science guy - He's a very smart man and has done a lot for promoting education and science.
Lastly - Indiana Jones, simply a hero, a flawed hero sometimes too, but a man's man.
