The game glorifies and promotes vandalism by allowing the player to punch and destroy blocks. Not only is the player not punished for this destruction of property, it rewards the player with coins and power ups.

Speaking of coins. This game glorifies an over obsession with the accumulation of personal wealth. Mario fosters this unhealthy obsession by encouraging players to collect as many coins as possible. Because if a player gets 100 gold coins. They are rewarded with an extra life. Wether the developers intended it or not, the message is clear. "Only the rich should be afforded extra chances".

The level also promotes animal abusd by locking all the turtles in little boxes. This promotes the message that, "nature is something that should be dominated and forced into submission.
