As some of you likely know, I've been trying to raise awareness with Sen. Tammy Baldwin's office of men's rights. I requested that they email me her stances on many men's rights and also include what she is actively working on to help solve inequalities against men. I'm also asking for simple action to be taken to open up dialogue by changing her "Women's Issues" message topic to "Gender Equality" or include a "Men's Issues" message topic in addition to the Women's Issues topic. I was originally told that it is exceptionally rare for anybody to not get a response within 30 days. It's now over 3 months, and I have not gotten a response. I keep calling them, and every time I do I request a deadline for when I should expect a response. They have repeatedly broken those deadlines, they keep giving me excuses, and I've even caught them in many lies.

At first, they simply ignored me. Then, they said they didn't know I wanted to be contacted back, and it takes about 30 days to be contacted. Then, they told me they called me, and that I would be contacted within 30 days, which I assumed had started over. I looked, and I had no missed call on my phone, and I told them that I had specifically asked to be emailed anyways. Then, they went back to saying they didn't know I wanted to be contacted. I asked why they had previously tried to contact me (or so they claim) if they didn't know if I wanted to be contacted. Then, I was ignored again, and I was told they put in a new request, the status of that request had been accepted, and that I should expect to be contacted within two weeks.

Well guess what? Two weeks passed today. No email. No call. No nothing. I've actually had to call so many times that many of the staffers know me by my voice, and I have never yet been contacted once about these issues. I've caught them outright lying (such as passing promised deadlines, telling me they called me when they didn't, and telling me they didn't know I wanted to be contacted once after I left multiple messages stating I wanted to and once after they claimed they had already tried to contact me). It seems as if they are trying to ignore me, but I will keep calling and I will not be ignored.

Does anybody know what action I can take outside of voting her out for ignoring requests of contact like this, if any? I'll be contacting her office tomorrow most likely. I think what is most frustrating about this is that it should be relatively easy for them to change the website to include men's issues, it wouldn't do any harm, and it would open up dialogue for issues about around 50% of her constituents.

Oh, and one time I called the Washington DC office where I was treated EXTREMELY badly. They were rude, they did not take my information down, and they hung up on me. They also told me that the reason men's issues is not on the list is because those topics are based off of what they get the most contact about. I'm pretty sure that's another lie of theirs, because I raised the objection that changing women's issues to gender equality would only make it a bigger issue that included more people and therefore should be included. Out of the 10+ calls I've made in the last 3 months, that is the only time I've been treated badly, and that is the only time I contacted the Washington DC office.
