FYI: In India, you can be charged and convicted with rape if you have sex with someone under 'false pretense' of a marriage. So basically if the girl thinks you're gonna get married and it doesn't work out, you can be charged with rape.

This is insane. What's more insane is that she admitted it was consensual sex but was confused on why the emotional/intimate feelings weren't reciprocated. Something that could have EASILY been resolved with a short conversation. Yet, in her stupidity she decided to go to a police station, somehow convince the police that CONSENUAL sex is actually "rape", get this poor guy arrested and fighting for his very freedom and then cause this kind of severe distress on his mother.

Either I'm missing something, or this is INSANE!

Regardless, the police should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves! They're obviously unfit for their jobs because they're too stupid for them! And this idiot, shameless and disgusting women deserves a life of lonliness!

This is the, story behind a lot of the rape cases being filed in India.

Many people in this sub have a go-to complaint that misogyny is rampant in India and that rape is very common. Yeah, if you can file a complaint on such flimsy grounds you can make any crime commonplace.
