On Wiki in 2008 from (I'm pretty sure) Justice Department puts the % at 64% for males committing murder, however, with 27.8% being the sex is unknown.

On the FBI website puts it at 64.3% of murders being committed by males in 2004; with 28.5% being unknown.

It could be... said that it may be ~90% of murders are committed by males, but you would have to add the entirety of the % unknown to the males and it still doesn't get you the 98% you have put forth. This is of course with the data presented here. Hope this helps.

Even if the numbers are accurate.. so what. This artificial injection of gender into everything is stupid, pointless, & bad analysis (because I can see what comes out of feminists tappers next).

How about, 100% of murders are committed by humans so let's all become misanthropes & hate everyone.

It's funny that if you say "98% murders are caused by men" everyones gut reaction is to see men as villains, rather than think - "wow, yes that's awful that we exclusively turn men into murderers."

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, 88% of homicides are committed by men.

According to the Bureau "Both male and female offenders are more likely to target male victims than female victims."

Note too that when it comes to IPV (intimate partner violence) the percentage of female perpetrators rises considerably to 34.5%.

It's closer to 90%, but that's convicted murderers. Clearly some get away with it, and women are more likely to not be convicted. Even so men make up the majority of murder suspects.

What about the men and women who were murdered by womens violence by proxy??

Society will never fully understand violence unless it starts to acknowledge and study womens violence by proxy.

Others have given statistics. I just want to point out that these statistics suffer from court bias. Women are far less likely than men to get charged or convicted when they do commit murder so any statistic is actually a high estimate.
