I’m quite privileged and come from an upper middle background but the narrative that the men are more likely to cheat from this background is crazy to me.

I’m working with my upbringing so not speaking for all but which it was single income from the father, wife may work a menial or vocational job but it isn’t required and that’s her money for extra shoes,handbags etc.

It has been so completely and utterly obvious to both my male friends and a decent portion of my female friends who now hate their mothers that the women are the problem. The fathers work 50-70 hr weeks in finance, law, medicine etc and don’t have time to cheat where the majority of my friends and myself were sent off to childcare 3-5 days a week whilst our mothers went on coffee dates etc with their friends but to which it later became obvious at 15-16 years old they were sleeping with their PT’s and house keepers etc.

Maybe the fathers also cheat as much with their secretaries? Not even possible even if they wanted to these days there is so much oversight etc and the majority of them in a power position where they actually need a secretary decide to hire male secretaries or women in their 40’s and not young/attractive so that there can’t even be a perceived issue let alone any actual issue.
