Girl: "So Dad, this is [man's name]! He and I met last week and have decided to start seeing each other!"

Girl's Father: "Good to meet you, [man's name]!"

Boy: "Pleasure's all mine, Sir!"

Girl's Father: "I bet it is! Say, Sweetheart, can I have a minute alone with your new boyfriend? I just need to talk to him for a sec."

Girl: "Sure, I'll be in the car!"

Girl's Father: "Now, boy, I don't know what kind of guy are and I'm honestly guessing you ain't all that bad, but for the record, I want to let you know that if anything happens to my little girl, the next thing you'll be kissing is the end of my AK-47. Is that understood?"

Boy: "Yes, Sir."

Girl's Father: "Alright. We ain't gonna have any problems now, are we?"

Boy: "No, Sir."

Girl's Father: "Alrighty, then. You kids have fun and don't forget our little chat! wink

REALITY CHECK TIME: If you don't trust the person your child is seeing, then it may be best that the two not date until you can feel more assured about your child's safety. However, making threats of bodily harm or death to someone before you even know them or have any reason to suspect danger, is despicable. Boys are not always the aggressors/instigators and are not automatically responsible for everything that can possibly go wrong on a date simply because they are male. Reversing the genders, do you really think GIRLS would take kindly to being threatened by their BOYFRIEND'S MOTHERS upon first meeting? Me, neither.
