I believe that stoicism is inherently self-abusive. Stoicism leads that each person should put aside their person pains and hardships for the sake of a strong and harmonious society.

The thing is, when you don't have a healthy society, let a lone a harmonious one, this becomes self destructive.

Certain philosophies can only be observes in certain societies. I see lots of people (aaron clarey) for one who talk about the important of stoicism without realizing that in a society that abuses those who don't stick up for themselves, the stoics are just enablers.

The cannibalistic society allows you too live so long as you are useful, but it is inherently insane and will eventually destroy everyone even if it means their own death
