Don't worry, it's a science-free zone.

But they don't seem to be saying they're not harmful to girls, just that boys using them is new. Also, some cosmetics available in Asia are designed to whiten/lighten skin and can be harmful.

Cosmetics are, more often than not, harmful to everyone, physically or not.
