Let's start with the good news, since we don't get much of that here. Awareness is being spread about male issues. Society is beginning to wake up, albeit slowly.

In the conversations I've had with people, most of them, save for the self-described feminists, know about these problems. They acknowledge male victims of domestic violence, paternity fraud, unequal sentencing, and others. I've had a more positive response from women than I have from men, even.

The message is getting out there. Despite the hatred Cassie Jaye received from making "The Red Pill", the movie played and was well-received.

Even feminists have been forced to acknowledge male victims, though they still claim they make up a minuscule number of the total. Still an improvement over my school days, where male victims and female abusers were never mentioned at all.

Now for the bad news.

Feminism's gone completely off the rails. What was radical 30-40 years ago is now mainstream. It's become a lot harder to claim "They're radicals; every movement has its crazies" than was once the case. I know the silver lining exists of being crazy enough to make ordinary people stand up and take notice, but they're also creating a climate of fear. The "Dear Colleague" letter back in 2011 was a dress rehearsal for what many want to see in criminal law.

We're seeing bigotry being spewed openly. Jessica Valenti, Robin Morgan, and many others. "Why can't we hate men?" "Dear men: this is why women have every right to be disgusted with us" "The brutality of the male libido". I'm sure those who read this can come up with many other examples. Every time a horrific crime against a woman is committed, all men are held responsible. The individual is not blamed, but rather, "male culture" "Male entitlement" "Toxic masculinity".

It's why I don't laugh at the Social Justice Warriors. Many don't take them seriously and laugh, saying: "What a bunch of pathetic snowflakes!" But I'm looking at what they're accomplishing. Even their own side toes the line, not wanting to risk their wrath. They have no respect for free speech, due process, or anything the country stands for.

Laws don't change until enough people start believing they should. The Civil Rights Movement existed for decades before enough people finally decided enough was enough and we needed to treat minorities as true equals, not in name only. Over 200 anti-lynching bills died in Congress before it came to an end. It wasn't easy and many died fighting for them, blacks and whites both.

So awareness is the first step. I know there are those who don't like our tactics, that we should simply ignore feminism and focus on the laws. Or try to work with feminism and achieve change together. But feminism is a multi-billion dollar industry and the David Vs Goliath fight, contrary to what happens in the Bible, often doesn't go David's way. And they've made more than clear we're the enemy and have to be crushed at all costs.

One thing I think will have to be done is dismantling or at least weakening identity politics. Far as its concerned, if you're male and especially if you're a white male, you have no problems worth mentioning. You'd think more progressives would care, since issues affecting men have an especially severe impact on minority men. But gender trumps race in this area.

I know there's a decent amount of pessimism, especially for those of you that have been doing this for a long time. And we're never going to have the kind of empathy for men that we do for women, hence why female MRAs are so important.

But more and more people are caring. They may not care enough yet to take action, especially given the social consequences, but it's a step. Rome wasn't built in a day and other movements took decades, if not centuries, to achieve their main goals. After all, men and the women who love them are counting on us.
