Yeah, his solution was pretty bad. “Boys just need to accept themselves”.

I believe the curriculum disadvantages men. In my experience men and women learn differently.

(This isn’t scientific, just my own observation and interpretation) Men tend to be academic dragon slayers and women tend to be an epic writer type learner. It’s easier for women to distribute academic effort over longer periods of time and perform well, whereas men tend to prefer and excel in shorter periods of time with the same material. Doing well in a class for men is like slaying a dragon, whereas for women it’s like perfecting the lines of an epic poem.

When he mentioned women’s issues, I felt like it was a strategy to get support from people who aren’t really paying attention, because people actually care and support women’s issues. I don’t believe this was necessarily at the expense of men.

Overall I support his endeavor, but not his direction.
